DESCRIPTION:Make a Difference Day on Saturday\, September 12\, 2026 is Sausalito’s citywide day of volunteer service — a single day when community organizations and neighbors come together to attend and care for the places we all share. The SWC is excited to participate in the event and the Club’s Rose Garden committee has already signed up to spruce up the rose garden located at the Northwest corner of Gabrielson Park. The garden is dedicated to Blanche Dunphy and the Sausalito Woman’s Club has maintained this rose garden over the years.\n\nThe are plenty of other opportunities for our club to participate in with all levels of skill.  There are projects from dusting the bookshelves at the Sausalito Public Library to working with Southern Marin Fire pulling non native weeks along the path East of Bridgeway.  There is something for everyone!  Get your Jinx sisters together and sign up for a project.  It will be fun!\n\nSign up here to volunteer: https://makeadifferencesausalito.org\n

DESCRIPTION:Join SWC in the 4th of July Parade! \nThe Sausalito Woman’s Club is excited to participate in this year’s 4th of July Parade\, and we hope many of our members will join us! \nOur float theme is inspired by this year’s Jinks spirit of travel and adventure\, with the tagline: \n“From Around the World… Back to Sausalito” \nMembers are invited to walk alongside the float\, ride in the truck as space allows\, or do a little of both. Parade attire can be travel-themed\, international-inspired\, or simply red\, white\, and blue. Berets\, gondola-inspired looks\, vacation attire\, flags\, and festive accessories are all welcome! \nWe’ll have candy and dog treats to give away\, globe beach balls to engage the crowd\, and a pre-recording of our very own Sausalito song playing along the route. When we reach the judges’ area\, Laurie and Ronnie will sing live\, and we’ll all join in for the chorus — don’t worry\, it’s an easy one! \nWe’ll also be decorating the truck on July 3\, and anyone who would like to join is welcome. \nPlease RSVP and let us know if you plan to participate\, and whether you would like to walk\, ride\, or do a combination of both.
