Looking to the Future

The Sausalito Woman’s Club remains as strong today in its historic mission as it was at its founding.  Members still carry on the civic involvement and charitable efforts that the founders embraced. Just as Grace MacGregor Robbins envisioned, the clubhouse is a center for the full spectrum of Sausalito community life, from elections, holiday open houses and performances, to weddings and memorial services.

Moreever, the clubhouse itself is a hallowed building that bears the imprint of Julia Morgan, one of California’s most celebrated architects. The clubhouse has also borne witness to the struggles and triumphs of scores of extraordinary Sausalito women over the past century.

As the Sausalito Woman’s Club approaches its second century, its future path is in clear focus: to safe-keep the history, traditions, civic activism and beloved clubhouse for generations of Sausalito women to come.
