DESCRIPTION:Monday\, April 20\, 2026 | 8:45am – Meet at SWC to carpool  \nExplore our local National Park gem – the Presidio – on this beautiful 5.5 mile loop starting at Tunnel Tops Park. We’ll walk to Inspiration Point\, continue past the Golf Course\, Mountain Lake\, and the former Public Health Service Hospital to the coastal bluff above Baker Beach. Our route will then take us to the southern end of the Golden Gate Bridge down to Crissy Field and back to the starting point. This hike blends coastal views\, natural beauty\, and rich military history. SUMMARY:STEEP RAVINE LOOP HIKE
DESCRIPTION:Monday\, April 6\, 2026 | 9:00am – Meet at SWC to carpool  \nThis 7.5-mile loop combines ocean vistas and redwood ravines in one of Marin’s most iconic hikes. We’ll start at Pantoll and descend the Matt Davis Trail toward Stinson Beach\, a mostly downhill 4.5 mile stretch with open coastal views. After lunch at Parkside Café\, we’ll hike back up via the lush and shady Steep Ravine Trail\, ascending through fern-filled canyons and alongside wooden ladders and waterfalls. This is a strenuous but rewarding hike – ideal for strong walkers. Bring water\, a hat\, hiking shoes\, and money for lunch. Poles encouraged. DESCRIPTION:Monday\, March 30\, 2026 | 10:00am – Depart via Tiburon Ferry 10:00am / Return via Tiburon Ferry 3:20om.  \nStep back in time and take in breathtaking views on this memorable day trip to Angel Island State Park. We’ll catch the 10:00am ferry from Tiburon and explore the island on foot\, enjoying 360° panoramic views of San Francisco\, the Golden Gate Bridge\, Mt. Tam\, and beyond. This hike offers two options: a moderate loop around the island or a shorter walk combined with a shuttle ride to the island’s historic immigration station. There\, we’ll visit several small museums that chronicle the fascinating history of Angel Island from 1910–1940. Bring your lunch\, water\, layers\, and a hat. DESCRIPTION:Tuesday\, February 10\, 2026 | 9:00am – Meet at SWC to carpool  \nOne of Marin’s lesser-known but most picturesque and serene hikes\, this nearly 7 mile loop in nearby Larkspur offers a rich variety of terrain and scenery. We’ll begin in the historic redwoods of Baltimore Canyon and wind through lush groves of ferns to reach Dawn Falls – our group photo op spot. From there\, we’ll climb up to Crown Road and cross into the King Mountain Open Space Preserve before descending back to the canyon floor via the charming and shaded Ladybug Trail.
