Sausalito Woman’s Club Preservation Society (SWCPS) mission is to preserve, protect and maintain the historic Julia Morgan clubhouse also known as the Sausalito Woman’s Club. This clubhouse is the No. 1 landmark in Sausalito CA and is registered on the
National Register of Historic Places on April 15, 1993.
Another very important part of the SWCPS mission is to ensure that our community benefits from the understanding of the rich architectural history and local heritage that the SWC clubhouse provides. Learning the history of a community and its historical sites encourages a sense of neighborhood and appeal. Historic preservation provides opportunities to learn about the architectural history and provides lessons in the environment, sustainability, urban planning, economics and building trade, the opportunities are endless.
