SWC/SRF

In 1956, the Club formed a committee to provide financial aid to music students. This scholarship fund was soon expanded to include the full breadth of education endeavor and was made available to eligible applicants living within the Sausalito Marin City School District. The first scholarship grant was for $200.

In 1990, a separate SWC/SRF non-profit charitable organization was established so that all scholarship donations would be tax deductible. Over the past 65 years, the scholarship program has awarded more than $650,000 in scholarships to students embracing a broad spectrum of financial need, including entry-level college students, graduate students, re-entry students and students engaged in vocational training.
